Leaders by Nurture was founded by Corey Spraggins, a marketing professional of over 10 years, career coach, author, and entrepreneur. Corey’s lifelong passion for leadership and strategy started early - at age 11, he founded his own lawn care company, cutting grass on the weekends with his brother for neighbors. Not stopping there, he also started a business selling candy to students in his middle school - where he would use his mom’s wholesale bulk discount to make a profit selling full-sized candy bars for 50¢. (Can you believe a Snickers bar used to cost that little?)

 

Corey created Leaders by Nurture for one reason: To Inspire The Next Generation of Leaders. Growing up in Atlanta, Corey graduated from Decatur High and Emory University, getting his degree in Marketing, Consulting & Venture Management from the Goizueta Business School (#3 National Rank). While in school, Corey often found himself in leadership roles: High School Senior Class President, Senior Basketball Captain (HS and College),  Emory University’s NCAA President, UAA player representative. In addition to receiving All-Academic recognition while at Emory, Corey won Emory's McDonough Award, symbolic of a varsity athlete who has made positive contributions to the Emory community as a student, athlete, and citizen. As a business professional, Corey’s leadership continues to have a real business impact, and he was nominated for the prestigious Make Your Mark award for his work as a digital marketer.

 

In his free time, Corey is usually watching basketball, hanging out with his lovely wife and beautiful dogs, Luna & Cyrus, or reading a thrilling novel.
